Miranda xoxo

06/02/2010 >> Listen(mp3)

I saw her standing there,
Green eyes and auburn hair,
At the bar sipping on a drink
Made my way up to her side
With nervousness I could not hide
Tried to hook her with a funny line

She laughed and turned my way
The ice it melted all away
And oh the conversation it did flow
Just before she said goodnight,
Wrote down her digits with delight
And drew xoxo behind her name

Oh Miranda!
Oh Miranda!
Where did that cocktail napkin go?
Should have put you in my phone
Six-four-two, the rest unknown
Think it might have ended with a five

When I got back home that night
Searched my pockets with a fright
Couldn't seem to find it anywhere
Went outside to check my car
Even drove back to the bar
The tender said he hadn't seen a thing

CHORUS

Dialing random numbers now
A fact that I will disavow
If her phone manages to ring
Look at what she's done to me
Insanity is what I plea
I cannot get this woman off my mind!
